Have you ever seen a blast furnace in action or stood close to molten iron? 

I had a chance to do both when I met sculptor Jim Gallucci a few weeks ago at an iron pour he hosted at his studio in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Jim was the first feature in a new series I’ve been working on called North Carolina Creators. It’s a monthly column featuring creatives who are elevating the cultural conversation around the Old North State.
